Acne Explained

1. What is Acne?

Acne is a term used for “blocked pores”. The pores become blocked, because the body over produces natural skin oils. Bacteria get into the pores and breed (ideal conditions for bacteria), causing skin irritation, infection and pimples (acne).

2. What Causes Acne?

Hormonal imbalances in the body normally associated with puberty. This in turn causes the body (facial area) to over secrete natural oils. This becomes infected and blocked, causing acne.

3. Who gets Acne?

80% of all Teenagers (11-19 years)
5% of Women over 40 years
1% of Men over 40 years

4. How long does it last?

Untreated Acne normally lasts for 4-5 years. In some cases it can last longer.

5. How To Cure Acne Fast

Obesity Erectile Dysfunction-How to Stop it Today!

Article by Kelly Purden

There are a lot of known causes of male erectile dysfunction. Illnesses like diabetes and high blood pressure can cause this condition as does obesity. Obesity is a condition that is brought about by an unhealthy lifestyle characterized by overeating of fatty foods and an extreme lack of activity. A person who is obese is overweight and plump with body fat unevenly distributed throughout his body. It is not seldom that a person who is obese would also suffer from psychological distress brought about by feelings of confusion, depression, and anxiety. Obesity is a condition does not only bring about obesity erectile dysfunction, but also other chronic illnesses such as myocardial infraction, atherosclerosis, and kidney problems.

Obesity erectile dysfunction is caused primarily by lack of blood circulation in the penile area. This is usually brought about by excessive fat that builds up and blocks the blood vessels causing a decreased flow of blood through the veins in the penis. The lack of blood circulation also starves the organ of the necessary nourishment, hormones, and oxygen to stimulate erection. All these result from the excess fat that is not burned out by the body clogging the blood vessels and can be remedied by substantially limiting fat intake if not altogether banishing it from the diet temporarily or permanently.

Steps In Dealing With Drug Abuse

Article by Vikram Kuamr

When it comes to dealing with drug abuse, there are necessary steps that need to be taken. These include addressing the problem and for the person who is addicted to the drugs to actually recognize the problem themselves. Detoxification is ridding the body of the drug as well as the effects of the drug and is used for both drugs as well as alcohol abuse. Any drug that builds up a physical dependency is difficult to withdraw from, especially if someone decides to go cold turkey. Rehab allows them to withdraw much easier than if they go it alone.

There are three ways that someone gets into rehab for drug abuse. The first one is if they decide to seek help themselves. This eliminates the big problem when it comes to addictions in that the person who is addicted actually is able to admit that they have a problem and wants to seek help. They can commence with detoxification and be on the road to recovery.

Beauty Is Health

Believe it or not but it is true: that person is beautiful/handsome who is health and beauty . Even the fashion legend Diane von Furstenberg said, “Beauty is health — health and beauty”. Let me prove it to you.

Good mood. Doctors tend to claim that all of our health problems 85% depend on the amount of stress we undergo: the less stress – the less health problems. However, the situation is double sided: once you have problems with your health you are usually going through pain and have no good mood. Sounds reasonable, does not it? If you are constantly depressed, in pain, do not laugh, do not get the most of your life you tend to cause even more health problems, you old early, thus you look not that attractive as you could.

Internals.

When you suffer liver damage, pancreatitis, diabetes or whatever in this area you also do not look good. As a rule all your internal problems are revealed on your face: bad skin condition, dark circles under your eyes, obesity, excess thinness, etc. All these do not add up to health and beauty, do they?

Latino Health

Latino Health Issues.  Latino Health Surprises and Strengths.  Public Policy that affects and influences Latinos and health.  How we define, engage and protect our own health

And, perhaps most important, how these issues affect us and our day to day lives.

Health is applicable to every area of our being — we talk about emotional, physical, mental and spiritual health.  We also discuss our financial health.

I chose this issue for this month, January, since health issues — and getting “healthier” in a number of ways — seem to be on everyone’s minds.

We take up exercise (or head back to the gym), promise to get out of debt, or perhaps even think about going to church more, sticking with a meditation program or getting “toxic” folks out of our life.

Health is about our environment as a whole, not just the physical environment, but also the psychic environment — who we let in our lives an influence our energy.

And these health issues are sometimes out of our control.  We’ll also consider what in our world influences our health in our communities — asthma, environmental toxins, our housing, etc.

HIPAA / HITECH Acts cleans up Healthcare System

“I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures [that] are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment [treatment more than what is required], and therapeutic nihilism[a contention that curing people, or societies, of their ills by treatment is impossible.]…I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know” – excerpts from the Hippocratic Oath taken by doctors and medical professionals pledging to practice medicine ethically.

Medical profession is considered as the noblest of the professions as it deals with the protection of life from diseases and ailments.. Doctors are expected to act with conscience and in the best interest of those who approach them.

However, the incidents that are happening around the world are disheartening.Doctors and other Healthcare providersare increasingly seen involved in health care related frauds.

Recently the law enforcement agencies cracked down one of the biggest healthcare frauds in the US. What is disturbing about this crime is that the huge Medicare fraud, estimated at 5 million, involvedaround 100 doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
